Assemble at the airport and take-off to Shenyang, the capital of Liaoning Province. Once you arrive, proceed for lunch before visiting Shenyang Imperial Palace – one of the only two well-preserved imperial palaces in China. After dinner, proceed to your hotel for check-in.
After breakfast, explore the Strange Slope Scenic Area, whose uniqueness lies in its apparent violation of gravity. Next, visit Siberian Tiger Park, which was set up to breed and house Siberian tigers. Then, continue on to watch the Shengjing “Moulin Rouge” Show (VIP seating) that features local culture, traditional Chinese operas, singing and dancing, acrobatics and magic shows.
After breakfast, visit Beishan Park for a blend of traditional Chinese Culture including Buddhism, Taoism, Confucianism and folk culture. It's also one of the best venues to see the winter phenomenon, 'rime ice'. Then, head on to Manchu Culture Museum, the hometown and birthplace of the Qing Dynasty (closed on Mondays). After that, enjoy a feast fit for a king with the Three Sets of Bowl Banquet (Mini Manchu Han Imperial Feast).
Start off the day with a visit to Changbai Island, also known as Wusong Island. Renowned for its frost flowers or ice-rimmed trees, water vapour is
transferred by wind to nearby trees before condensing to form rime, dressing the weeping willows along the river bank in pure white. Then, head to Shangri-La Hotel Ice Bar and enjoy unlimited beer tasting. Thereafter, explore Harbin Ice & Snow World, the largest display of ice and snow exhibitions, and view the firework displays at the New Year’s Countdown Performances.
After breakfast drive past Yabuli Railway Station and continue on your journey to Yabuli. Enjoy two hours of ski sessions with ski equipment provided, along with specially-arranged VIP changing rooms, just for EU Asia customers!
After breakfast, travel to Snow Town (tram ride admission fees included) and enter a fairy-tale world of 'snow mushrooms' formed after sticky snow falls onto wood piles, along with log cabins, pine trees and snowy mountains. Visit Charming Snow Street, which is decorated with big red lanterns, little snow-capped cottages and stalls selling local food. Then explore Dream Home (entrance fees included), a small theme park with the best location for capturing snowy landscape shots. Blend in with the locals, wear a traditional cotton jacket and enjoy learning how to make Dongbei dumplings and ice cream
Begin with a journey to the famous Volga Manor, a theme park boasting more than 30 Russian-style buildings that offer a glimpse into Russian culture. You'll have plenty of time to explore its highlights by spending a night in this fascinating park!
After breakfast, make your way back to Harbin, capital of Heilongjiang Province and the location where the annual Songhua River winter swimming performances are held. Admire the exterior of Saint Sophia Cathedral, a former Russian Orthodox Church built in Byzantine architectural style. Don't miss the Harbin Flood Control Memorial Tower, a monument commemorating the people who lost their lives in the flood during the 19505. Then enjoy some free time exploring Zhongyang Street at your own leisure.
In the morning, head to Sun Island for the Harbin Ice-Sculpture Festival (tram ride included). Learn from a professional ice sculpture instructor as you take part in the exclusive DIY Ice Sculpture Competition. Explore Disney-themed ice castles in an illuminated winter wonderland, complete with grand opening ceremonies, firework displays and a series of theatrical performances in celebration of the grand event. An annual festival that represents Harbin's local customs and cultural foundations, it also features colourful ice sculptures depicting Chinese classical masterpieces, European folk tales and many others, arranged according to different themes.
