Assemble at the airport and take-off to Chengdu capital of the Chinese province of Sichuan. After dinner, transfer to your hotel for check-in.
After breakfast, depart for Nyingchi, a prefecture in the southeastern area of the Tibet Autonomous Region. Enjoy the lovely scenery along the way to Lulang. If the weather is clear, you might even get the chance to glimpse the famous Mount Namcha Barwa (7,782m), also known as the 'father of the Tibetan Mountains' You'll then arrive at Lulang Forest, a mountain meadow with stunning alpine views. Next, view the Old Pine tree that's about 2,500 years old. Explore the city centre of Nyingchi and Bayi Town before settling down for a local Claypot Chicken dinner.
After breakfast, head to Pagsum Lake, a sacred lake with beautiful turquoise waters. In the middle of the lake, there is an island known as Zhaxi Islet which is built in the 17th century. Enjoy the panoramic views as you travel back to Lhasa. You'll pass by Maizhokunggar County along the way - birthplace of the 33rd Tibetan king and founder of the Tibetan Empire, Songtsen Gampo.
After breakfast visit Potala Palace - formerly the winter palace of the Dalai Lamas. Regarded as the landmark and symbol of Tibet, it is now a museum and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Next, make your way to Jokhang Temple, the most sacred monastery in Tibet. Then explore Barkhor, an ancient street filled with booths selling handmade souvenirs. Make a special visit to Makye Ame, the yellow landmark of Lhasa and former house of the 6th Dalai Lama.
Begin your day by visiting Yamdrok Lake, one of the three largest sacred takes in Tibet. According to local mythology, Yamdrok Lake is rumoured to be the transformation of a goddess, and is situated amidst a beautiful setting of snow-capped mountains and shimmering streams. Then, proceed to Palcho Monastery, a Tibetan Buddhist temple that fuses Han, Tibetan and Nepali architectural styles. After that, make your way to Shigatse by coach.
Start off with a morning visit to Tashi Lhunpo Monastery, a historically and culturally important monastery in Shigatse that was founded in 1447 by the 1st Dalai Lama. Travel in your coach back to Lhasa before enjoying a unique night visit of Potala Palace.
After breakfast, proceed to Drepung Monastery where you will witness the grand opening of the Lhasa Shoton
Festival. View a massive exhibition of the Buddha Thangka Tapestry, before moving on to Norbulingka Park to enjoy an authentic Tibetan opera performance, followed by a session with the locals to learn how to make butter tea. You'II also get to watch exciting yak or horse races as well!
After breakfast, proceed to the airport for your flight back to Singapore.
